Vanity cabinets were suspended from the floor, for a ‘floating cabinet’ look. Optional cabinets included laundry room wall cabinets and a computer desk with filing drawers.
The Verawood Solution
We gave the kitchens a very high-end feel with lean, minimalist design, paired with stainless appliances and an open concept. We built stained and painted maple cabinets, with Shaker and Singleline door styles.
Individual Clients
Bedroom Furniture
One of Verawood’s private clients asked for custom furniture, that would fit the limited space in a small master bedroom and maximize storage space. Custom color and design was needed to complement the existing beds. Custom tall storage units were decided on, with three bottom rows of full extension drawers, to offer functionality and easy access. Custom night stands and a furniture-style dresser, to match the style of the room, completed the project.
Fully customized bedroom furniture included tall units, with lower drawers to make up for a lack of closet space, two night stands with finished cubbies, lower drawer and furniture gables, and a furniture-style dresser. All items featured maple melamine interiors, 5/8” solid aspen Dovetail drawer boxes, Blum full extension soft-close drawers and doors, as well as stainless steel bar handles, to accentuate the modern look. The night stands and dresser were finished by matching wooden tops, with solid maple trim.
Custom Renovation
Verawood completely remodeled an early 1980’s-built home, to feature a traditional, high-traffic kitchen, which would suit a lot of cooking and entertaining. A large, dark-stained alder island was paired with painted maple perimeter cabinets, featuring an antique finish, to give this kitchen an appealing look.
Many custom cabinets, including the hood cabinet above the range, the island microwave cabinet and large spice rack with storage pull-outs, made this a one-of-kind kitchen. Door styles used were Tofino alder and Provincial painted doors. Kitchen, ensuite and garage storage cabinets were provided. The kitchen was designed, bearing in mind that the homeowner loved to cook and that the kitchen was a hub of activity in this home. Features included built-in double wall ovens, custom spice rack, bookshelves and a custom hood-unit over the gas range.
The ensuite featured vanity cabinets with wall drawer cabinets, that were made to fit between the counter and ceiling for easy storage of oft-used items. The garage cabinets were built for storing camping gear, tools and gardening equipment, and included an area for wine storage.
